Located just north of Merkel, Texas, Merkel Golf Club offers year round West Texas golf on some of the best-maintained bent grass greens in the area. Whether your group members are scratch golfers or weekend warriors, this 18 hole par 70 course will reward their best efforts. While being a very playable course, it still chall- enges the better golfers.
Merkel Golf Club is a semi-private facility. The public is invited to play daily with weekday 18 hole green fees $8.50 and weekends $12.00. Plenty of rental carts are available or you may bring your own with a small trail fee.
Distance from the men's tee is 5115 yards, while the ladies' tee plays 4156 yards. Though not a long course, the undulating putting surfaces and elevated greens will keep you humble.
